about the artist

Emma Niamh Turpin makes paintings that sit between abstraction and figuration: built up through layers of acrylic, oil stick and pencil, exploring the female experience and how emotion lives in the body.

Irish-born and Hackney-based, she studied Fine Art in Dublin and Photography at Central Saint Martins, before spending fifteen years producing shoots for some of the world's leading luxury fashion and advertising brands. When her son was born, she found her way back to creating.

Her work is available as originals and prints.

She is also launching a newsletter next month about creativity, the creative life and what it takes to build something that's genuinely yours. Sign up for updates at Bright Project on Substack.
