Under a Pink Sky began in the depths of winter when the feeling of heat on skin was just a memory. Dreaming of the summer light and the sense of hope and freedom it brings. The body feels easier, the mind quieter, you feel more like yourself.

The colours and forms of the paintings centre around those feelings of that warmth, the excitement of a bloom stopping you mid-step: the colours! The permission somehow to lie down in the middle of the day, sit and reflect in the space and light rather than numbing in the dark.
